Summary
Hermione didn’t expect to survive the Battle of Hogwarts.
So three years later, she is still alive but barely living. Her hopes and dreams are as scattered as the stars, and she finds herself bouncing around the Ministry. No Department feels like the right fit for her. Not anymore, at least.
Harry and Ron have moved on, both successful in their own right. Both Aurors at the tops of their fields.
So when Hermione is assigned as a ‘Reintegration Agent’ with a warning that this is her last chance with the Ministry, she decides to give it her best shot. That now is the time to start living.
But the only issue is that her new charge is Draco Malfoy, fresh out of Azkaban, and in lockdown at Malfoy Manor.
Can she put their past behind her? Can she close old wounds in order to help Malfoy? Or will she fail her task and leave a broken and scarred man to face a world that will always hate him?

But one night, when she was looking at the first crime scene, Tyler appeared. And something happened... something Wednesday would take to her grave.
