Complicated with that mischievous glint in Stanley’s gaze that was too subtle to see at first, intricacies in the shape of Zending lights and Jim buttons saying the wrong name. Convoluted code he never intentionally wrote that bloomed warmth each time he saw that silly little office worker smile-
The Narrator squeezed his hands into fists to quell the trembling as it began again, shaking his head to physically distance himself from the swirling of his mind.

Summary
Due to his water-based abilities and waterlogged body, Waterboy doesn't handle the cold well at all. He hasn't spent a winter working at SDN yet, but he's about to find out that he can't exactly keep up with his usual workload when his body is betraying him. He'll need some help from the resident warm-individual, the reluctant Flambae, to make it through the shift, and he may just need some reassurance along the way that he is where he belongs.
I don't live in L.A. I don't know how cold it gets there during the day usually, and I don't care. This may make no sense with the temperature, but I think in a world of superheroes I can write some hurt/comfort that makes absolutely no logical sense, and that's what I have done. Enjoy or don't.
Also this isn't explicitly Waterboy x Flambae, it's more implied. I've still tagged it as such, hence the warning.
