They eventually made it to an empty cell that was surrounded by many more empty cells, further away from the occupied ones from earlier, where Shanks was tossed in.
The cell was nothing much, it was surrounded by bars except for the back wall, and it also had a thin blanket in one corner and with a rusty bucket in the other.
The cell door shut with a bang, and the men that had led him in left without a word—not even taking his cuffs off. Which was fine, it's not like he couldn't do it himself, Shanks mused as he used Haki to tear the iron cuffs off. Seriously? Iron? They couldn't do better than that with the massive budget Shanks knows they have.
The cuffs fell off with a clang, seemingly startling a small form in the cell next to him.
Wait.
Is that a child!?

He hopes it convinces Shinsou to take his words seriously. “Sit down with me. And don’t worry about anyone coming through that door, I don’t expect them to for a while, because their concern isn’t actually with us.”
The two of them sit in their usual spots, legs criss-crossed beneath them with arms crossed over one another for warmth. Hizashi watches the tremors that wrack Shinsou’s body match his own. The temperature in the room is dropping- and quick.
“Whoever did this is much more concerned with getting their hands on Eraserhead. We’re just the bait. And the fact that neither of us are tied up or muzzled tells me that we must be the least intimidating bait on the planet to them.”
