He held his breath as the fallen aster floated near. The frozen winds shifted in its stillness as it cut through them, its radiance ever so intense. The wetness of the rain still soaked his clothes, yet the warmth soothed him, washing away the pain and torment of the storm.
The star was now close enough for Shadow to see. The figure inside the light was a mobian, just like him. He opened his mouth in an attempt to speak as the other looked him straight in the eyes…

As far as Jim was concerned, things were going well! Well, they were until Merlin showed up and started lecturing him on messing with time when he was trying to talk to Claire who was clueless about trolls or anything else.
Jim really didn't want Toby or anyone to find out about the future, it wouldn't happen so they don't need to carry that burden besides him. Not that they would remember. Right? Wrong.
Things certainly didn't improve when Jim realizes he is slowly turning back into a troll!
What will his friends do when they remember the future?
What will they do when they realize he's becoming a troll?
What will Jim do?
Will he become?

Their Trollhunter, Jim Lake Jr, is experiencing nasty side effects regarding his half-troll transformation that Merlin purposefully chose not to tell him about. Everyone's tense, and that's before Jim leaves with Merlin -- and only the wizard returns to the camp.
