Summary
Patty had spent years brewing in expectations, laid in bed while hoisting this fictitious woman higher than the stars and moon itself.
She's always wanted a mother, always truly believed any problem would go away, if only she'd have her mom. And even so, if it didn't go away, it wouldn't hurt with a loving, blonde parent by her side.
Except she now has a mother, and certain pains still remain. Pains only a six foot tall demon-hunter-for-hire - whose white hair would denote him even forgoing the long red coat - seem to be able to get.
Her mother never went to hell, she didn't crawl off a crucifix like a Messiah, and despite his self propagation, she knows in her heart that Dante would despise the comparison.
Short Summary: In-between world ending events, mothers and brothers are the ones who leave, logically that leaves Patty and Dante to be the ones who are left behind. During this time, they experience meotor showers, crappy TV, and the general passing of life.

Summary
Gojo couldn't bear to kill his one and only best friend again, and so he allowed the disgusting body snatcher to use Suguru Geto's hands to strike him. He had faith that Geto wouldn't allow the imposter to finish the job, but he was wrong. he had held out hope until his annihilation.
Geto was only permitted his body back to see the devestation he caused. luckily death never did like Satoru Gojo, but it doesn't stop the in-between when Geto was once again mourning his best friend

Summary
Kai did not ever want to be the person he was while mourning Zane. He had always used anger as a defense, but even he could understand what he was in that time was not good for him.
Nya's death is different than Zane's. It leaves him numb and cold and a mothers touch does nothing to heal him. The women that placed her hand on Kai's shoulder had no right to utter any words of understanding. His biological parents had no place telling him how to feel about the daughter they didn't even know. Kai knew her. They did not.
Kai's days of grief fueled fighting were not behind him yet. His father was one last oponent.

Summary
Prophecy is a tricky, untrustworthy thing; long on promises and short on concrete information. The Once and Future King will return; that much is certain. Merlin knows the who, and he knows at least vague outlines of the what. The how and when and where of that return are less so, and the why is a complete mystery. He's spent a lot of time wondering about all of those questions, and even more time trying *not* to wonder about what will happen next.
Then he found out.

this show is literally the most devastating piece of media
this story in particular feels so rawly human and sad. Merlin is a homage to possibility, he is a living contradiction. everything is his fault, and he affects absolutely nothing. he is fate and it's most abused puppet.
Merlin is every type of mourning ever made, and we don't get an answer. it's symbolic to the saddest and deepest parts of life. people die, people live, and people lie. and no matter what hunger inside you howls and tries to claw it out of anyway, there's absolutely no way to know.
so many possibilities die with Merlin because he cannot. futures were crushed, and it was useless. that's the most tragic instance in the world.
Arthur has some semblance of mystery left, he experiences being a person. nobody helped Merlin. nobody saw all of him and wept with joy.
nothing is better, whether he's alive or dead, it's suffering. the saddest thing to achieve in media and life is dying and not mourning because it's a tragedy, but that they're gone. it's a stale kind of loss to be burdened with knowing that death taking them is the BEST option.
Merlin is dead, fate crushed him and killed him. but no matter the outcome or a scenario, Arthur will never stop missing him. maybe that's the point of life, find someone that will miss you.
