“A cold case involving a series of dead women from the 1960s in the Richmond, Virginia area has finally been solved.” Katherine reported with an intrigued tone, her soft brown eyes sparkling with the news. Her fingers tapped against the desk, itching to know more about the breaking story that was spreading across the United States. “A series of letters between the late Dr. Niklaus Mikaleson and his wife, Caroline Mikaelson, were turned over Friday morning, detailing decades worth of murders that had been committed in the most brutal and heinous ways.”
Katerine remembered the moment the story had been handed to her. The news broke and Katherine could sense the rippling shock that would spread across the country. Not simply because of the mystery of who buried those women in the Appalachian Mountains just outside of Richmond, but just the sheer number of murders Dr. Niklaus and his wife committed.
It was prolific.
