He’d answered the door in low slung black joggers, which is nothing out of the ordinary at this point in their… whatever it is they’ve been doing for almost five years, but instead of his usual t-shirt, Shane wears nothing above the waist except for the first piece of lingerie he’s ever dared or wanted to own.

Finally, Ilya looks up at him. Hesitantly, he asks, “You want me to come with?”
Frowning, Shane says, “I– yeah. Yeah, of course. You think I invited you here just so you could spend Christmas alone?”
Looking away, Ilya shrugs. “I am intruder here, Hollander. You have family. I do not. Makes situation… difficult, maybe. You forget the world thinks we are rivals.”
“Not difficult,” Shane says immediately. “You want to come, you’re coming.”

The boy tried to crawl backwards a bit, away from the sharp edge, but Arthur just moved forward with him. The sword trembled with adrenaline against the sorcerer’s pale skin. Arthur couldn’t help but notice the boy’s ruddy cheeks, bright red from the cold and exertion. The snow made light dance in his tear tracks. The neckerchief that Merlin commonly wore was discarded on the snow; It must have fallen during the fight. It left his smooth neck exposed to the cold, riddled with goosebumps, and unmarred save for the blood-soaked steel, pressing in on his pulse point. Arthur could not deny that the… thing wearing Merlin’s face was beautiful.
Merlin is forced to reveal his powers during an attack. Chaos and angst ensue. I feel like most people give Arthur too much credit in magic reveals.

“Harry? Is that you?” Peter croaks out. His right arm has been set in a cast, and his bare shoulder is wrapped in bandages. Though he now wears a loose hospital gown, his face is still trapped behind his grimy mask. As Harry sits down in the chair at his bedside, before he knows what he is doing, he lifts his hands and attempts to remove it, desperate to see Peter’s face.
“Wait.” Peter stops his hands with his own, the point of contact between them igniting a fire beneath Harry’s skin. He has sat up slightly, propped against the pillows. “Anyone could…” He trails off.
Harry shakes his head. “We’re alone.” Then— “Please, Pete.”
Peter stares at him for a moment more, before dropping his hands. “Yeah. Yeah, okay.”
Despite the obvious display of trust, Harry can’t help but mourn the loss. He moves slowly, pulling his mask off fully. He discards it at the end of the bed and cradles Peter’s injured face.
