Summary
But, if his potential death could save the world, what could he do? The entire point of Nico's birth was to serve and fight for the gods, and this was the highest honor he could give. But that didn't entice him very much. But if the world ended, nobody would survive, and Nico couldn't risk that. Not if it was Bianca. She was the only family he had, the only person who cared for him deep down, and she had given it all for him. Now, it was Nico's turn to give it all back.
"If not for me, or the world, or even Hazel..." Pluto sighs, "do it for your sister."
Nico bites down on his lip so hard he tastes blood.
Pluto frowns, grim and unnatural, and his fingers dig into Nico's shoulder. He glances over his shoulder, only to see that Bianca and Reyna had seemed to freeze. Time had stopped during their conversation.
He looks back to Pluto, and feels a cold sweat drip down his nape.
Nico knows he's going to die, and he refuses to leave his sister with that thought. Maybe, if he makes her hate him it won't hurt as much.
"Where can I find the entrance to Tartarus?"
