“Who's going to feed them?” Janus asked, crossing his arms with an air of superiority.
“I will!” Patton said with excitement. Heating waffles was very much within Patton’s ability.
“And bathe them?” Logan asked.
“I will!” All the bath time fun with bubbles and giggles and funny, shampoo-infused hairstyles! Patton could hardly wait.
“And put them to sleep?”
“I will!” and they’ll have footie pajamas that match Pattons, and if he asks really really nicely, maybe Logan and Janus will wear footie pajamas, too. But maybe not.
“This should work out nicely,” Janus remarked before calling over Patton’s shoulders. “Boys? I don’t suppose either of you have a name.”
The two toddlers looked at each other.
“A name: a word or set of words by which a people, yourselves, is known,” Logan explained.
“Oh, Logan, you’re so smart.” He turned back to the confused children. “What do you call each other?”
“Brother,” they both said in unison.
Janus snickered behind his hand.
