His annual check-in with Frostbite had gone well that morning. He'd visited Sam and Tucker in Chicago to tell them the good news- he was accepted into Gotham University on a full-ride scholarship! Courtesy of Dick and Babs for helping him through his essay and cover letter for said scholarship. And now, he was out celebrating with Dick and his family at the Martha Wayne Foundation's Annual Charity Gala!
He was having fun, hanging out with several of the Waynes, and finally felt like his life was his again—like he could finally catch a break he desperately needed after everything that happened the year before. Standing there, glass of Champagne in hand, he laughed at some joke Duke made at Tim's expense, a genuine smile on his face. As foreign as it felt, this was nice.
...till something wrapped around his core like a snake coiling around its prey and pulled taut.

I remember loving this SO MUCH, but after starting school this year (junior year) I just stopped reading after ch 34, then I forgot what happened in the story, and so I couldn’t continue. But I know this is SO GOOD.
Ch34
Peter Parker in Gotham after everyone’s memories are erased. Peter and Jason live in the opera house, renovate it. This big evil guy blows up (killing) the entirety of bludhaven, kidnaps Batman, and Peter ends up giving Batman a device (when they go to rescue him) to win the fight that ends up evaporating him. Batman and everyone has been kidnapped for like a month, with only Spider-Man and Damien to bad-guy-fight. Everyone thinks Batman is dead after (except the public, dick is stuck being Batman) Peter ends up creating a bunch of (better) time/dimension travel devices to go thru the multiverse to save Batman with a team of Jason, Tim, and Cass (I think) They chase Batman for a long time thru the multiverse, always just barely missing him, getting help from their alter-universe-selves. Last I remember they’re in a universe really similar to Peter’s, except instead of everyone forgetting Peter he just died, and Peter has to decided whether he wants to go back to Gotham or somewhere else.
BUUUUUT. I originally left this note of the series’ first part, The Ghosts of the Gotham Opera house. But looking at my tabs, I also left a note on the sequel, aka pt 3 of the series, The Ghosts of Manhattan : ->

I FOREVER REGRET STOPPING READING THIS FIC. I remember loving it so much, and it was written so well, but I Just stopped reading 😔😔😔
Last read and finished ch 33This leads me to believe I read the first part all the way through, but just stopped on the sequel, literally a few chapters away from finishing. So I’m combining both and bookmarking the series instead because this fanfiction is worth it. The original bookmark on the first fic was dated Jan 2025, the bookmark on the sequel was September 2025.

The anchor continues as a clip of Rozanov from a post-game interview last year plays—he’s shirtless and sweaty, smirking into the camera. And then he does that…that wink. Shane just stares up at the screen, dumbfounded. He’s not listening to the details anymore, but the words echo in his head.
Metros to acquire Ilya Rozanov…
His team to acquire Rozanov.
