i love how it covers things famous ppl go through, the ‘family friendly’ification of homosexuality in the public eye (sanitation of it?)
the emotional turmoil of it all. the fear, admitting it to yourself, admitting it to your loved ones, the irrational thoughts, the desire to be thought of and never thought about again at the same time, the confusion
and that’s gerard’s side of things. franks side (although we don’t have his pov we have glimpses into it) his ease of admitting it (at least publicly. the fact he’d told alicia and not the rest of the band implies a certain amount of fear in outward admittance) his casual air of the kissing, fuck the press, hooking up. he just loves with his whole self lol neither of them could be casual if they fucking tried
speaking of frank i loveee love how he’s written in this fic. carefree and a bit of a force to be reckoned with and fun and all over friends casually and so into anything involving gee and one to hide his feelings and stuff idk how to explain it i just love how he’s written
