Summary
When Amara, a distinguished Cambridge student, and gifted Computer Engineer is without a job post-graduation, her professor connects her with an old friend who offers her work. That old friend of her professors happens to be Jurgen Klopp, manager of the English Premier League club Liverpool and he happens to be interested in the Machine Learning algorithm she and her best friend created called S.O.M.L.A.
Standing for Sports Outcome Machine Learning Algorithm, the program enables Amara in helping the staff and players at LFC to carry out a successful season. But, there's only so much help she can offer if someone's unwilling to take it.
Enter Jude Bellingham. A newly transferred, and very famous midfielder, who believes her use of technology is insulting to the game and her lack of knowledge about football is insulting to himself.
As the season plays out, combative forces collide between the two. Will they be able to put their differences aside and help each other reach victory? Or will their clashing natures be the destruction of everything they're both working towards? In the midst of it all, rising feelings only serve to further complicate the situation-- for everyone involved.
