Summary
Batman v Superman, with a twist. Instead of Bruce hating Superman for the death and destruction in Metropolis, he gets to glimpse his humanity as he attempts to save the world.
Written for the dceu kinkmeme prompt: During the battle with Zod, he and Clark end up in front of Wayne Financial, with Bruce comforting the little girl and the man who's legs got crushed. Zod uses his heat vision, seeking to obliterate Bruce, the child, and the injured man. Bruce watches on as Clark desperately tries to get Zod to stop, culminating in him snapping Zod's neck.

Clark temporarily loses his powers, and while it's initially jarring, he gradually adjusts and tries to go about on a somewhat normal routine after telling his inner circle (which can also include the League since they're building themselves up). Problem is that he is somehow an even bigger danger magnet than Lois in this state.

Summary
Clark comes back a little bit wrong—or maybe more than a little bit. He poses a danger to anybody close to him, in more than one way. There's only one person he can think of who's learned enough about Kryptonian biology to help him and isn't currently in prison; and Wayne owes him, anyway. At least he won't have to feel guilty about lashing out anymore, if he's doing it at the guy who tried to kill him.
Except "lashing out" doesn't really cover it, after a while—and maybe Wayne's in over his head just as far as Clark is.

Summary
When Bruce said that he doesn’t not like Clark, Clark only thought it meant that Bruce tolerates him. Of course, now Clark knows that Bruce is actually just a big old teddy bear who spoils Barry and tries to hide from Alfred when it’s time to sleep. He’s realized that Bruce does actually like people and that he might be one of those people.
Still, liking someone platonically is very much different from liking someone romantically, and Clark never would have thought that the latter would ever happen with Bruce. It's why he doesn’t think he could have been prepared for Bruce flirting with him, or Clark flirting back, even if they were both sixteen at the time.
