Summary
Dean and Cas meet up in Allerton, Iowa, in the middle of January and it is COLD. Cas even has to go out and buy special winter gear for the trip. They’re staying in a mini-cabin inn and having a great time, Dean even brings a gift for Cas, a lamp in the style of the moon which Cas LOVES… but then the very first night a blackout hits, leaving them freezing and fumbling to use the moon lamp to light the way while Dean gets the fireplace up and running. They spend that night making love by the glow of the firelight, then volunteer to help the elderly owners of the inn the next day when they see them struggling with chores in the winter’s cold… WHY do they offer to help? Just because they’re good people, of course.
