Crowley gets inconveniently discorporated. And it’s not like it’s ever been easy to get a new body, but this time around, things really aren’t looking good. His new innuendo-obsessed lust-demon of a coworker honestly isn’t helping things.
Meanwhile, Aziraphale has a dead body to contend with, and an occult mortician & his very normal daughter to fend off. What lengths will he go to in order to get Crowley back to Earth?

Aziraphale tried to arrange his features into an appropriate expression of bereavement, but he was finding it quite difficult to mourn Crowley when the very demon himself was hopping up and down on the muted television, windmilling his arms, trying to get Aziraphale’s attention. The closed-captioning on the bottom of the screen was scrolling rapidly, reading: ** DONT LET THEM OPEN ME / UP YOU REMEMBER WHAT / HAPPENED IN PADUA RIGHT / THAT WAS NASTY / THEYD HAVE TO / QUARANTINE THIS PLACE **
Think I started this forever ago and only recently finished it. Delightful. Fun worldbuilding details, charming and memorable original characters and our human-shaped heroes both have great moments. Great story.

“More or less,” Aziraphale says, fidgeting with his hands.
“Then you’re just the person we need,” the second agent says as he pulls out a few leaves of paper. “Our latest field reports put them somewhere called Tanis. We know from the information we’ve intercepted that they’re searching specifically for religious artifacts, but other than that we haven’t the foggiest idea what it is they’re looking for.”
The first takes a sip from his glass of water, then pointedly stares at Aziraphale. “Any idea what it might be?”
They stare Aziraphale down like it’s an interrogation. Like a test he hasn’t studied for. Like any of his meetings with Gabriel.
Aziraphale freezes in his seat. Centuries - millennia, even - have passed since he last saw the Ark. Since he had walked with the slaves through all of that pain and suffering; tried to be a helping hand to Moses. He had been there when it was constructed, when the tablets were laid inside. He knew its power. He’d seen it.
He hadn’t been there when it was lost. Had he known it would be, he would have destroyed it himself.

Or so he thinks, until one day he ends up finding a wounded creature on the beach close to his home. Now he’s got to prepare himself to accept that the depths of the ocean may hold more than injured marine animals and friendly sea lions named Meg after all.

His heir apparent, Darth Vader, startles the galaxy by passing up the throne, and then passing it on to the newly-elected Senator of Alderaan, Leia Organa, after the Force leads him to directly to her. The new Empress inherits a terrorized galaxy, a broken Empire to tear down from the inside, and the weirdest second-in-command anyone can imagine.
Or, Vader accidentally hands the galaxy to his rebel daughter, Bail Organa panics professionally, Leia attempts not to get assassinated, and Palpatine rolls in his grave.
