Summary

Summary
Death is presented with an interesting challenge - to live among the humans whom he finds so confusing for a short time. Normally he wouldn't consider such a thing, content to spend his days constantly wandering around while doing his job (and avoiding his father, Destruction), but this time, he's found one human in particular to be of interest so he decides to give it a try, to stay in one place for at least a few days. What can go wrong?
Only a Fury and a Virtue (or three) are determined to 'help' him out, for reasons of their own, and nothing is ever simple when so many powers that be start plotting. Death may very well regret giving in to his curiosity, along with the humans around him.
Basically, my take on the Sandman universe with TFC characters.

Neil had been living in the city for a little over five years. He hardly ventured out of his apartment except for his early morning run, grocery or supply run, to his store, and occasional trip to get a coffee from the cafe next to the antique store. It was a simple, somewhat lonely life, but that was not new for Neil. The years after his mother’s death passed in a painful grey blur, brought slightly into focus with his art, and his routine.
Or a story where Neil is lonely until he is not.

Except, one day, it all but happened. One day, a small kid with horribly cut short platinum blonde hair, striking blue eyes that plagued Andrew's dreams and nightmares, freckles and an achingly familiar horrible fashion sense showed up at his office door with the strangest question. "Are you Andrew Joseph Minyard, yes or no?" The kid asked in a British accent. Andrew could only nod. "Oh good." The kid said, suddenly unsure of themself. "Cause I think you're my dad." What the fuck?
