Summary
When Spenser's plane is delayed, Susan and Hawk end up having an increasingly personal conversation about their respective relationships with their boyfriend. They joke about flipping a coin to see who gets him first when he gets back, but decide in the end that sharing is an important part of any burgeoning friendship.
(AKA, Susan and Hawk get a little tispy, a lot turned on, and fuck the bejesus of Spenser.)

Summary
When Hawk miraculously returns alive after being supposedly shot to death by Bendix, Spenser thinks seriously about how much Hawk means to him, and tries to demonstrate this appreciation without pulling any of Hawk's stitches. Sex, and about as much talking-about-feelings as Hawk will tolerate, ensues.

While investigating a series of strange land buyouts for Susan's childhood friend, Susan starts to suspect that there's more to Hawk and Spenser's past than simply friendship. When she confronts him, Spenser has to figure out where he stands with both of the people he cares most about, and decide if he's got it in him to rewrite the rules of a game he's only ever played one way.

Summary
Hawk learns that Spenser ran into the burning building to save a firefighter that was trapped... instead of letting the other firefighters do it. He doesn't understand why his boyfriend did what he did but he will be there to help him in the aftermath of his actions anyway. He tries to get Spenser to take a well-needed nap but Spenser gets pulled away before that can happen. Hawk finally gets Spenser to go to sleep after they talk about his hectic day.
Or, it's a different take on "No Room at the Inn" (Season 1, Episode 2).
