Summary
Berry, a kittypet, knows that there must be more than just her Twoleg home, where everything is the same every day: (mostly) quiet, predictable, and boring. The cat she loves, Crow, doesn't share her interest of the forest, but the way the forest seems to be calling her in is unmistakable. So she does the only thing that she can think of: she leaves. But she quickly learns she knows nothing about the forest, and it's nowhere near as easy and her dreams had made it seem. Hungry, alone, and more than just a little afraid, she nearly decides to forget about all of it, when she meets Clan cats. Cats that came from real, wild, and free Clans. Only they're not so free anymore. These cats are escapees from the four Clans, who are now evil. StarClan followed their rough travels to this new forest, and as weak and hungry as they are, they take Berry as their leader. Growing from the fleeing cats from each evil Clan, BerryClan is born. But will Berry learn to accept her role as their leader, or will her longing for Crow hold her back, wishing she hadn't done what she has? And will the past of the Clans haunt her future, once she knows what hardships Clan life truly brings?
