On the ‘everything goes wrong and they’re miserable’ to ‘the sex is so perfect it cures global warming instantly’ scale, this definitely falls at the ‘fantasy perfect’ end of the scale, but then that’s the whole point of erotica. Steve and Bucky’s relationship feels very believable in this, the levels of snark and affection and old-married-couple familiarity, and the kink is beautifully handled.
