Summary
This is set two years after The Mary Tyler Moore Show ends and roughly six months after the Rhoda tv show ends. Late 1979.
When Rhoda visited Mary in Minneapolis after she was fired, they shared a moment of understanding, an acknowledgement of their love for each other, but no words were spoken. They both knew the other knew, but they said nothing about it, yet didn’t seem to know how to move past it.
Now Mary is moving to New York. Her feelings for Rhoda haven't changed. She's still in love with her and still too scared to do anything about it. Until she's not...Please note this story owes it's title to the Fleetwood Mac song "Landslide" which influenced this work. Great song.

Summary
Mary is not coping well with Rhoda's move to New York and her newfound love with Joe. She tries to hide it, but Rhoda knows something is wrong, even from a distance. Mary thinks a trip away will help her get over Rhoda, but it only makes things worse. When she returns, she will have to deal with everything she has been trying to avoid.
