Summary
Yennefer the sorceress and Cahir the soldier stop on their way. It's high time to rest before they move on, to reach the nearest port town, the next destination on the route of their shared escape.
Wanting it or not, they get to know each other better, and that - at their worst. Cahir is exhausted and wounded, but it's the psychical pain and low spirits that disturb him the most. Yennefer's disparaging attitude towards him does not help here in any way. The two are obviously enemies now. They do not like each other, and their relation reaches its boiling point.
Still, some words have to be said before things get their chance to change. And some peculiar events take place during this night, too. All those things - some of them very mundane, and others almost unworldly - lead to the ending that none of the two would expect. As they will be heading for Cintra on one ship - together.
As some things just must happen, in this or another Universe.
