Summary
It’s going to be Tommy’s life before this conversation, and his life after.
Even— even when it— even after exile, after everything else, things didn’t change. He could avoid Dream, and it was like the whole thing went away. He could relax with his family and feel, for a brief moment, as if none of it had ever happened.
It never affected the rest of Tommy’s life, because he treated those nights as a parasite, as a tumor to be excised, as blood-red vines wrapping around the back of his mind and keeping it captive, a thing to be kept entirely and wholly separate from the rest of him.

Summary
Killua must be an incredibly strong man, Gon thought. Not just for the obvious, but for the fact that despite everything, his hands could still be gentle.
Gon is a Blacklist Hunter, hired by an unidentified client to locate and capture a sadistic, ruthless assassin who by all accounts doesn't - or shouldn't - exist. He's fought for his strength for this, to save people. He just wants to make sure nobody else gets hurt.
Killua is a product, the decades-long outcome of his family’s loving labour to bend, break, and torture him into a tool of purpose. He is a dog to be set loose, a judgement to be brought down. He is not supposed to want anything at all.
And then one day, he does.
(An alternate timeline where Gon and Killua never met, and Killua never escaped his family. Somehow, despite it all, they still manage to find each other.)

Summary
By the time that America had entered World War I and Percival had been drafted, Theseus Scamander had already been known as a war hero. Because of that, Percival had recognized him right away once he realized he had been assigned to the same front.
Ultimately, Percival served less than a year with the younger man but by the time it was over, they had become close friends. Really, their entire squadron had. After all, if you couldn’t trust the man who was protecting your back or front, what was the point? But in the end, Theseus was the only one Percival had chosen to remain in contact with.
