This is a story about Teala as she travels with her companions, and what I think happens to them after Baldur's Gate 3's Early Access after they have defeated the githyanki patrol next to Waukeen's Rest. Incidentally, this story happens a bit differently than what happens in the game, so you could say this is an alternate canon.
This story is dedicated to Mmogurl, one of my favourite video content creators, who is one of my favourite fanfiction writers and authors, also. She and Baldur's Gate 3 inspired me to write this story.

There was no point in taking Leo home to the med bay…even if the slider somehow survived the journey, the damage that had been punched into him was unsalvageable.

Twin moons looked down at him, one already lit red as it dipped closer to the water. The other was quiet a bit higher, shining sliver down on him.Its why he didn’t see the shape in the water.
Well, one of the many shapes in the water. Rocks littered the area, and a few of the nocturnal animals fluttered about as they hunted or sung or whatever it was that they did. She would bet some of the mer-folk where out there too, or the silkies. This particular island had been free of Kraang for a long time, so the water dwellers had been lingering out longer and longer without hunters over their fins.
All that to say, he was startled when a shape lumbred out of the waves, fur aglow in the moonlight and dark fur making it hard to see the details.

He visibly twitched. His heart started pounding in his ears. The shouts from the others faded from his mind as all he could hear now was ringing. The small one’s head tilted up, her big eyes staring right into his own.
He had to move. He had to obey. But he-
“Specimen.” His Master said.
And suddenly the noises were back. Too loud. He forced a step towards her. Then another. His body was stiff, his fist closed so tight his knuckles were turning white.
He kneeled in front of her. Her head moved to watch him. He placed his hands around her shoulders. He was shaking. Why was he shaking? This was just a mission. Why couldn’t he do this?
He pressed her shoulder harder, squeezing her lungs together. She was so small. So very small.
“Don’t ya fucking dare, ya monster!” The red one yelled.
She yelped.
