Summary
The Kingdom of Vale, ruled by Queens Summer and Raven, have announced a tournament to decide who shall be the personal guards to their daughters. Out of the many knights who try for the title of champion, only two shall receive their reward, a place by the royal family and consideration to marry into royalty.
But at the final bout, questions arise as to the identities of the two victors. One a mercenary of an ill-reputed band, the other an exiled princess from a hostile kingdom.
What could their reasoning be to seek such a position? What threats will they have to face in their duties? And will they survive dealing with the Princesses they are assigned to protect?

A small movement next to her made Pyrrha open her eyes and look to her right. Ruby was pointing up, her arm outstretched as she looked at the stars. “Ursa major.” Ruby whispered before glancing to her side.
“Hm?” Pyrrha hummed, looking back at her. It felt weird being this close to Ruby, but it also so right.
Ruby’s smile beamed at her as she shuffled closer. She pointed back up, her fingers drawing out the lines between the stars. “Ursa major, the constellation. Penny taught me what some looked like.” Pyrrha glanced up, squinting slightly to try and see what Ruby did. Unfortunately, constellations were never in her list of priorities to learn.
