Don’t you have food..?” He damn near immediately took the comment back; it was bad form to just assume. He waited for his friend’s response anyways, but Rorschach never said anything. He just looked down. “None at home. Don’t shop.” Dan couldn’t help but move a hand to his face, fingers pressed into his forehead. “So you resorted to eating rotten, bacteria-infested, possibly diseased–” “Done it before. Wastes less time. Better things to do.” “Than feed yourself?” Dan gawked.

On an unassuming snowy evening, Daniel is surprised when Rorschach arrives at his house unannounced, and proceeds to show blatant signs of illness. Daniel takes it upon himself to help his self-destructive friend. (history will say they were work partners)
