After defeating Pennywise the Clown, Richie Tozier's parents decide to send him to stay with his cousins for the summer due to all the mysterious disappearances happening in Derry. Ignoring every single one of his protests, Richie is sent to Hawkins, Indiana, to spend the entire summer with his boring cousin, Mike. He prepares himself to have the worst summer ever.
That is, until he meets Will: The boy with the horrible bowl-cut and laugh that makes Richie never want to stop telling jokes.

Richie Tozier was an annoying asshole. He would never shut up. Even when every single one of his friends would beep-beep him, he couldn’t go longer than a minute without running his loud mouth again. He’s rowdy, full of poorly-timed inappropriate innuendos, and pretty much incapable of behaving correctly around adults — or anyone, for that matter.
That’s just how he is.
So, of course Beverly Marsh is concerned when Trashmouth Tozier doesn't say a word when he gets to school, avoiding eye contact with the rest of the Losers Club and walking with a slight limp. She has this sinking feeling in her gut that something is very wrong, and an even worse feeling that she knows exactly what it is, because she's been through it herself.

Beverly Marsh figured she was a pretty unique case for her social workers. I mean, it’s not everyday you find a young girl who was left orphaned after her father was beaten to death with a slate, an ominous message inscribed on the wall in his blood.
Of course, said social workers would never expect it to be the doe eyes red head who had done the bludgeoning. The FBI marked it as a cold case, and young Beverly was due to be shipped off to extended family in Hawkins, Indianna very soon.
In her last weeks, Beverly resolved to spend as much time with the losers, no, her losers as she could. They hung out at the clubhouse, got milkshakes and trauma bonded. Days passed in a blur, and soon, too soon, Beverly only had three days left.

Woah, a Stranger Things x It crossover fic? Who could've come up with such an idea? Jokes aside, this is a fic that attempts to cross over both series in a seamless, logical way. Set after Stranger Things season 3, we follow the Byers after they move from Hawkins, Indiana to the small town of Derry, Maine.

Eddie rolled his eyes so hard it hurt. "Yeah? Then why'd you scream like a pissed-off seagull when I splashed you?"
"Tactical retreat, Eds," Richie was saying, sprawling out on concrete hot enough to brand skin, his grin too wide, too sharp—all teeth, no sincerity. "Gotta lull you into a false sense of—"
Eddie’s fingers hooked the waistband of Richie’s trunks before the sentence finished.
The splash was catastrophic. Eddie didn’t hesitate—he launched himself after, the shock of cold water burying his triumph. Surfacing, he shook chlorine from his eyes, ready to gloat. The taunt died in his throat.
Six feet away, Richie was drowning.
