Summary
Eddie Diaz never expected to fall in love with a man. Never had he questioned his sexuality before Buck started dating Tommy. But then jealousy set in, and the man asked himself a lot of questions. He tried to understand, looking for the side of envy before reality blew up in his face.
Evan Buckley never thought he'd be this happy one day. A job he cherished, a family he could lean on, and Tommy, the love of his life with whom he moved in after several months of a perfect relationship. The future has never seemed so beautiful, so secure. What he didn't expect was for the most important person in his life to ruin it all.
Just a year ago Tommy Kinard thought he'd missed the mark with love, convinced that it wasn't for him, that he'd never find the relationship he'd always dreamed of. Everything changed when Evan came into his life, overturned all his convictions and turned his world into a heaven. A powerful love, a sincere love. A love that's been wounded ever since Eddie declared his feelings for him.
Or, the BuddieTommy fic where Eddie falls deep for his best friend's boyfriend.

Summary
Eddie knew saying yes to Buck was a bad idea. Each moment spent with the couple was a torture, a reminding of his love for a man he couldn't have. A man that Buck had charmed before he could.
Because he loves Tommy, and the more he sees them together, the more he hates his best-friend. But tonight is different, right? Because they are just taking a few drinks together, the three of them. They are just spending some good time as friends.
Until they are not anymore.excerpt:
Bad idea after bad idea, stupid thought after stupid thought, crazy dream after crazy dream. This is what brought him there, drowned in his tears, his body lying prostrate on the cold floor of the bathroom he shares with his son. His mind tortured by the words that dared to come out when they had no right to.
How long had he been hurting himself like this? Waiting for Tommy's gaze to finally fall on him, hoping to be loved as his best friend is loved. Feelings that he knows are forbidden and that haunt him. -

Summary
The gymnasium has been entirely decorated in the colors of Notre-Dame High School's football team, the Knights. Everywhere on the walls, photos of the teams over the years remind visitors that time has passed, that high school days are long gone.
It doesn't take Eddie long to find the photograph that interests him. 15 years ago, the Knights won the national championship for the first and last time. Of course, the photo of the winning team is featured prominently. It's bigger than the others, surrounded by gold and navy blue banners. Fifteen years of clinging to a past glory that no one has ever been able to match. It only takes him a second to find his husband Buck's face, smiling, eyes sparkling with pride. Next to him is Tommy, team captain, a few years older, upright and proud, too serious for his age.
Fifteen years ago, Tommy Kinard broke Evan Buckley's heart.

Summary
Buck woke up for the second time that morning, again not to his alarm but instead to a feeling he dreaded. His bad leg, the one that had been crushed by the fire truck 6 years ago, was aching with a deep, almost throbbing pain.
How had he not noticed this earlier?
And, of course, this had to happen right before a shift. Being in pain was not his thought of an ideal start to the morning.

Summary
“Well I hurt him more by dropping him first, so I should take him home," Eddie says.
“Pretty sure I hurt him more by suggesting he get up there in the first place,” Tommy contends.
“Alright, alright,” Buck says, because as much as he loves being fought over, he eventually has to put a stop to this. “You’re both cute. Now rock, paper, scissors over it before my ankle starts to swell.”

Summary
Tommy’s head snapped up, only to find Eddie already frowning back at him. “What— who called you that?”
Silence. Deafening silence.
“Buck,” Eddie insisted, taking a step forward but stopping when Tommy raised his hand, signaling for him to stay in place. Eddie pursed his lips, a little annoyed, but obeyed.
“M-my mom. My dad.”
Eddie’s eyes widened, the world stopping around him. “Excuse me?”
