Seeing Jesper in lace and silk helps. It’s the only way Inej can even look at these skimpy figments of clothing without panicking. She reminds herself: there’s nothing inherently violent about these clothes; they do not invite violence. Still, putting them on feels like crossing an ocean in a boat without rudder or sails. Impossible.
Surprisingly, though perhaps not unpredictably, Wylan is the one who helps her set a course and sail it.

Like clockwork, he fell back into the easy rhythm of his day. As he passed the Butcher’s shop, he lingered for a moment to knock in the grate to the basement with his cane. A bolt of white and brown shot inside, yipping loudly to announce his presence. Frans, the long deceased Butcher’s Blade of the Barrel, must be waiting with his spectral pup’s dinner by now after all. The current shop owner shut all the windows and grates to keep out the chill, so it was up to Kaz to let Kipper in each day. Sometimes he lingered longer to give Kipper a good scratch behind the ears, but he was behind schedule already."

Then he fisted his hand in it and pulled so sharply and suddenly that it sent a jolt through Wylan's body. “I won’t.”
“That’s– what I want,” he gasped. “Rough.”
“So you said. I hope you meant it, because I’m not going to be nice."
OR
Jesper and Kaz aren't comfortable doing a rough scene Wylan wants while he is healing from a broken wrist. Luckily, someone else has no problem giving him EXACTLY what he wants.

Based on this tumblr post:
No one has noticed that I am not in the polycule. I have been dish martyr for 6 months now and my place in the house is all but solidified. I pay no bills, I have no rent to speak of; my only fear is that soon someone will ask “who are you dating?” and my palace will collapse on my head.Day 180 since Craig moved in. He clearly thinks he’s dating one of us, but we can’t figure out who. It’s possible one of us is lying about it for some reason but so far our efforts at Inquisition has led nowhere. We would kick him out, but he’s been doing the dishes for us. We’ve decided that for the sanity of the polycule we’ll keep up the charade. If all of us continue to be flirty with him, he’ll project his attraction onto whoever the hell he thinks is into him. This house of cards is delicate but necessary.
