Summary
Kallus and Zeb have an uncomfortable conversation with some Lasan survivors, about what the future should should look like.
This story is a response to some comments or stories I've seen in the past, about whether Zeb has a responsibility to have kits with another Lasan survivor. Been thinking about it for awhile.
(I am lucky to have not been a survivor of genocide, so I have had to use my imagination for how the lasat characters may have responded to what happened on Lasan. And I know this sounds silly, but I am not judging my fictional characters for their response. I hope my ideas aren't offensive, it is a bit difficult to tell.)
I also hope this is a good enough explanation of the topic for people to decide whether or not they want to read it. If not, I'm sorry. I know this is a sensitive subject.

Pulling back the bed covers, he found himself staring at a mound of purple fur striped with darker purple lines thru it. His mind must be pulling tricks, he would need to put this medication on his ‘Do not take again under any circumstances’ the effects from it completely destroying all of his honed and trained ISB skills as he continued to dumbly stare at the fluff laying in his bed. It looked much softer than Garazeb Orrelios' fur, and had his body been more his own, maybe he’d have reached out to touch it...
Dropping the covers and stepping back to the window Kallus watched as the lump on his bed moved in time with the coughing noise. As it slowed, a pitiful mew could be heard. A pained whine, a pause, a sniff of the air, then followed by gasps as the lump thrashed about pulling the covers off from over them. What he saw next confused his drugged brain even further.
Covered in a sheen of sweat, blue skin a shade purple from fever, head tendrils knotted, wearing scavenged clothing covering most of her skin, was an adolescent Quokki, a small Lasat Kit pulling itself up-on the Quokki’s pant leg to a seated position…. The glare and growling he would expect, but the viroblade being brandished at him he did not.

The world spun as he took in the date before him. Perhaps this was a nightmare of some sort? Or a hallucination? The brief said they weren't entirely sure what protections the device had on it. Forcing him to relive the assault on Lasan certainly would be a fitting way to neutralize him. Still, that didn't... that idea didn't seem right. This felt all too real.
