Summary
Even after the defeat of Calamity Ganon, the world remained paranoid. So many times had they defeated the evil, and so many times had it come back. The legends melted away after the fall of the champions one hundred years ago, and the citizens of Hyrule could no longer turn to them for guidance.
So, they turned to you.
OR: Gender-neutral reader is an Oracle. The power has been passed down for generations and it lays upon them. They can feel something dark laying over Hyrule, but Calamity Gannon is long since defeated. Can they find it in time?

The ceremony had gone well, you thought. Your mentor had always wanted a viking’s funeral, and it was almost beautiful the way the small canoe caught fire and reflected in the water below. The orange flames complementing the pink of the setting sun above it. It was a clear day, and you could hear children playing in the city street not too far from the dock. You didn’t cry, though you figured it was for the best. It wasn’t a sad day- that’s what Oracle Telyn had told you. It was a day of rebirth, and she wanted you to be officiated as Oracle within the hour after she was burned.
