Hawkins is not the only small hick town to be affected the opening of the portal, on the night of November 6th, 1983. The sleepy community of Poppiesville, Indiana is shaken by otherworldly events, and people. Deb is forced to bear her family's burdens once more, as the Hammond's say goodbye to one family member, but gain another. Her sister Jessie is convinced that nobody can replace her twin brother, John Paul, and Deb agrees. But it doesn't take a replacement to heal a wound. And the strange boy that finds his way to their house one night isn't just anybody. She, a young reporter namer Parker and Jessie's friends, the Guild of Rogues and misfits, band together to discover who this strange boy Ten is, while their town is haunted by two mysterious murders. Everything is not what it seems.

Summary
A smuggler, a half-Salmonid, a battle-worn Octoling, a former experiment, and a mystery. What could go wrong? Years after being adopted, Etian wants to find his missing biological sister amidst the internal battle between his two families. Being raised underground as a smuggler for a majority of his 18 years, he finds the courage to introduce himself to the surface world. And in return, four members of said world introduce themselves as his friends and teammates.
Through immense grief, sincerity, love, hatred, and forgiveness, Etian and the others are thrust into two years of their lives they will never forget.

Summary
