Summary
Rose Gardner is the third child of Samwise Gamgee and Rose Cotton. Her mother had a record 13 children. Rose is just finishing school and wants to move out of Bag End with her friends away from the millions of kids after the birth of her youngest brother. Rose gets a job at a tavern amongst the storefronts of the Shire with her new roommates, starting fresh. Life seems so free and great until there are some thefts happening all around and Rose is in the wrong place at the wrong time. She falls into a slippery slope of solving crimes while not getting too involved.

Descended from the Mearas, the black horses of Mordor are famous for many things - intelligence, loyalty, an intuitive knowledge of what their riders expect of them, and speed which surpasses that of most other horses in Middle-earth. They can also speak, although there are few who understand what they say.
CHAPTER 19: Despite all his rage, the Morgul Lord is just a rat in a cage. Therefore, it is only fitting that he would befriend his fellow rodents.

Summary
I had a crazy idea to write a story in which Bucky Barnes somehow falls through a portal (or maybe just hits his head) and finds himself.... in Middle-Earth. You read that correctly. About the Middle of the Third Age, to be precise.
Is it a dream, or is he really here, encountering Elves, Dwarves and some very strange Men - as well as an Orc or two and maybe even Gandalf at some point? I have not made up my mind up, but I hope to have fun with a modern superhuman lost in a very strange world, full of creatures just as powerful as him.
I don't know how this will turn out, or how people will like it, but here's my first chapter.
The author is European, hence the spelling and forgive me if I get any details about the American landscape wrong.

Lily Potter put additional protections on her daughter to make sure if she was ever not able to take care of her, the magic would influence whoever received her would do their utmost to look after her. She never predicted that her daughter would be looked after by anyone other than a human from Earth though. It turned out though that her daughter's protector is more than up to the task and has power in spades to ensure her well being.

Shanks, a man born to be king, lives as a Ranger of the North and one of the Dúnedain sworn to protect Middle Earth. His journeys take him far and wide to lands unforgiving, where fell creatures are as brutal as the climates are harsh. It is a thankless existence. Evil never sleeps and rangers are rarely afforded a moment's rest.
So, when Shanks receives a missive to find a missing wizard, he prepares for another long, arduous trial. However, as fate would have it, Shanks is not alone in his quest. Mihawk, an Elven Lord known for his reticence, accompanies Shanks on his foolhardy cause regardless of the ranger’s opinions on the matter. Perhaps it is not fate that throws them together, but a harken of change that will see them either stand fast together or tear apart.
Together, the two companions embark on a journey to challenge a resurging evil. Unfortunately, world saving quests are rarely so simple, and they are made especially difficult when Shanks toils more over his affections for the beautiful Elven Lord in his midst than any second coming of doom.
He is but a man at the end of the day, but when destiny and love begin to surmount, Shanks has to wonder if being just a man is enough.
