Hello, my name is Dorothy Malto, veteran of the US Army, wife to my handsome marine biologist husband Alex, and a proud co-owner of the Malto Sea Sanctuary, newly reopened for visitors to see.
After leaving the army with honors, my husband Alex and I spent our life-savings to buy and renovate an old sea research facility into a sea sanctuary, to help the creatures of the depths to recover and for humans to learn about them. We house five sea lions, two leatherback turtles, a small family of sea otters and many schools of endangered fish, which we regularly release into the wild.
This month, we've decided to give a chance at a second life for three of one of the rarest creatures of the depths: mers. All of them are seniors currently being sold, and our wish is to be able to give them a worthy retirement after life spent entertaining humans, but we won't be able to do it without your support.
_____The Maltos decide to buy three mers, Elita one, Optimus prime and Megatron, to give them a new chance at life after decades of being a source of entertainment. Some take the change better than others

Blaster had not expected the literal apocalypse come to his (figurative) doorstep, but here he was. In just one week he went from a temporarily suspended aquarium employee to a survivor surviving the flooded city full of dangers and mutant creatures that want to eat him. Now, he not only has to go back to the aquarium to see what could have happened to Jazz and Prowl during the tsunami, but also deal with the aftereffects of his decision.

Summary
For decades it was highly controversial to keep seekers in aquariums, because they don't survive very long, none lasting more than a year. That all changed 20 years ago, when a specimen was born in captivity.
Starscream is happy in his aquarium, showing off tricks to the crowd and proving that, with the right training, mers can be taught simple language and even basic maths.
Eventually though, his keepers decide it's time to see if their experiment can be repeated, if Starscream was a one-off, or if all captive-bred seekers can be "trained". His keepers decide to mate him with a freshly caught, bonded pair.
Will Starscream and the new additions learn to get along? Or is Starscream doomed to be alone forever.

It was also leading research into the way the oceanides socialised and lived, the large centre bordered on the ocean side where many Of the oceanides would gather due to the safety it gifted them to raise their young, care for injured.

The aftermath of a storm has left the infamous pirates, the Autobots, to look for more work as they lost a lot of their possesions. Getting a hint as to the possibility of hunting merformers and getting paid more than enough, their captain, Optimus Prime, decides to go for it.
Bumblebee, one of his most loyal crewmates notices theres something wrong. Optimus seems obsessed with the merformers. It all goes even more to hell when they finally do catch one, and Bumblebee cant help but be intruiged and grow closer to it.
