The story continues the evening that episode 3x10 Don't Stand So Close to Me ends with. Right after Meredith visits her mother, she finds her way to Joe’s for some soothing liquids. Meredith and Derek are not together after he walked away in episode 3x4 What I Am. Everything else has more or less outplayed itself as canon. There will be some changes/detours of the original storyline from now on and out, but I will try and explain as well as I can as the chapters are being added.
This fic switches between Meredith's POV and Addison's POV. Line breaks with --- means change in POV.

Takes place somewhere close after 3x7 Where the Boys Are, and Meredith/Derek are kind of seeing each other again, but their relationship is not progressing as fast as canon. Meaning, they have barely started seeing each other/considering each other again (no sex, they're not a couple, but kind of dating).
I have a plan for several chapters, so please let me know if you think it's worth continuing. Rating should possibly be M for recreational drug use, but I'll save the mature rating for later chapters if needed. Wink...
