Blu had taken a lot of harsh insults during his time within the Amazon, he had tried so hard to get the approval of the tribe and Jewel's family, but nothing he did worked, but when he made the tribe lose the game in the Pit of Doom, he was completely hated by the tribe. When he tried talking to Jewel, she said some really hurtful things that broke his heart, and he was left alone.
Feeling heartbroken by what he was told, he decides to head back to Rio, but that wasn't until his youngest daughter, Bia, came to him. She was the only one who understood this pain, and knew he didn't deserve it, so they both go back home together.
But during they're way back, they get caught within a storm, and despite Blu's best efforts, they couldn't escape it, and they black out when it's too much. But when they wake up, they find themselves in a completely new world, they are met by an old turtle named Oogway, who learns what they've been through, and offer's them the chance to learn Kung Fu.
Knowing they had nowhere to go, they accept. And now Blu has to try and move on to this new life, and go through a journey to achieve Inner Peace, but it will come with tough obstacles to push through..

Everybody said that it would be fine, that it wasn't really him that did all those awful things...he did not understand how they could say such a thing. The mirror that made all of this possible in the first place does not ad traits that weren't there before, which means that somewhere inside of him, there was a part that really was that evil...it frightened him, the thought that there was a part of him that felt hurting people was something good. A part that felt good when others were afraid of him. But if that was the case, maybe...maybe he should just stop feeling altogether. Wouldn't that be safer for everyone, especially his friends?
