Demigod dreams were useful! They gave Percy warnings and insight on what threats were coming up. But more than that, demigod dreams were really annoying. I mean, regular nightmares sucked, but your evil grandpa sending personalized death threats to your sleep was even worse.
Although, sometimes Percy's demigod dreams were even stranger than they were supposed to be - he tended to interrupt conversations he wasn't supposed to (and didn't want to) hear. Case in point; Percy overhearing Kronos bicker with his siblings for the uptempth time.
Or; Hyperion can't decide if he wants to laugh or scream, Krios is adopting Percy, Kronos is amused, and Percy is just really tired

He stumbled about through the forest, a little faster than a walk, a little slower than a jog. If he could just rest, just for a few hours, he could find the strength to push on. But the sun was setting and it was getting colder again, it had taken him all day to climb and descend the mountain.
"No- no no no-" he sobbed.
If the sun set, if it got too cold, if he couldn't find shelter, if he couldn't rest, if it got too dark for him to continue…
Perhaps he was hallucinating, because he swore he saw the sun flickering ahead through the tree trunks, even though it was setting somewhere to his left. "I have the power of the sun at my fingertips, I'm never cold if I don't have to be," he murmured, right behind Chris now. "How's Peter?"
