Loneliness is Dex's permanent state of being. It follows him everywhere. His name was one best remembered to fix things or wiggle his way into places he shouldn't be - but never to simply just exist with. He was bright and smart and clever, but all that people knew was that he was just Dex, and he's learnt to live with his loneliness.

Loneliness is new to Fitz - he's been alone, sure, but this feeling that had surfaced in him after watching himself drift apart from their group - it was torture. He has his issues, he knows, but does that really mean no one liked him after all?
