When enlightened of a haunted, abandoned, beach-side lighthouse, he brushes it off as the least of his concerns. With the Spirits and Such Cast in tow (plus a friend or two), they’re off on their practically free vacation, unaware that such a innocent seeming trip could easily dig up some unwanted memories, form even deeper bonds, and burn into a lasting memory.
Written to be “similar” to the OVA; “The First Spirits and Such Company Trip ~A Journey that Mends the Heart and Heals the Soul~” and taking place shortly after the Reigen Spinoff!

Summary
Four years ago, a mysterious psychic explosion quite literally tore a hole in reality and opened a portal to another dimension. From this portal, terrifying monsters began to spill out, and everything quickly fell into chaos.
Reigen Arataka has spent the last four years surviving by flitting from one group to the next. However, when his most recent group of survivors once again falls apart, he finds himself on his own yet again. Soon, he runs into a new group that calls themselves Claw and later learns about a mysterious kid who has been surviving alone this whole time. When their paths cross, will these two be able to survive in this world of monsters, human and not?

Following the six months Shigeo spent in Mogami's fake world, he decides to suppress and ignore the negative emotions tied to the event to focus on the world he's so lucky to be born into. Whether he wanted to or not, to be honest - his family's house is burnt to the ground weeks later, so he really had bigger things to worry about.
A year later, when things have calmed down and the air starts getting cold again - all the memories come flooding back. With his studies taking the main priority these days, he once again tries to push everything down so he can pass his exams. Reigen needs him for a job too, and when that starts to go south, Shigeo might not have a choice on whether he wants to talk about things or not.

Joseph still looks apprehensive. He puts a finger up to the earpiece and listens carefully to whoever is on the other end. Then, he sighs and crosses his arms over his chest, leaning back. “Our records say that Reigen Arataka is the one who eventually stopped him. Why?”
Again, Rei’s eyes shift all around, and his expression shifts from realization to sadness in the blink of an eye. “Because that’s how it happened in my world… I also tried to stop him, but I couldn't and— and because of that, Shigeo…” He pauses, swallowing thickly. “Shigeo is the one who wiped out humanity. He's the one who destroyed my universe.”
After the finale of Mob Psycho 100, four years have passed since Mob learned to accept himself, and although things are complicated between him and Reigen, life couldn’t be more normal. That is, until strange things start to happen in Seasoning City, and his whole world is suddenly flipped upside down after someone from an alternate universe unexpectedly arrives with the sole purpose of saving them from utter destruction. To save them from… Shigeo.

This couldn’t be happening to him. He was losing control of the situation, and it was only now that Reigen realized he couldn’t remember the last time a client had laid their hands on him.
Distantly, in the back of his mind, he knew the reason.
It was all because of Mob, his sweet and kind disciple, who always intervened when Reigen was being threatened. Stepping between anyone or anything, Mob deemed a threat to Reigen.
Reigen had failed to treasure the protection Mob had offered him so selflessly—too caught up in his own schemes or cons to appreciate everything Mob did for him.
He really had taken advantage of Mob’s kindness, hadn’t he?
With Mob chased off by his lies, Reigen stood no chance against the monster he found at his doorstep.

The Divine Tree rules over Seasoning City. Buildings are crumbling. The trains out of town have stopped running. It’s getting harder to find food that isn’t made from the Tree. No one cares. Everyone gathers around the broccoli at sunset to pray. Everyone acts so happy.
Except Takane Tsubomi, who, it turns out, gets bored of cult doctrine the same way she gets bored of watching dogs float. Tsubomi doesn’t know what you’re supposed to do when your city’s been taken over by a giant vegetable with the power to make everyone adore it, but surely there must be someone out there who does, which is why she finds herself skipping tennis club and picking her way through the root-covered streets to the only spiritual consulting office she can find that’s still taking appointments.
