He’s reminded of it when Sapnap smiles at him, shy and sheepish. He’s reminded of it when Sapnap leans into his space while they watch a movie together. He’s reminded of it when he looks down, crestfallen, anytime he or any of their friends pander to DNF. He’s reminded of it when Sapnap stares up at him like he’d personally hung up the moon.

Summary
Sapnap knows how affectionate Dream can be. He doesn't mind hugs and cuddles even sometimes he has days when all he wants is cuddles as they lay on the couch and watch a movie together. It was all good, right? He was living the life, until one day he's standing near the kitchen sink stunned over the tingly sensation that has a hint of wetness radiating from the center of his forehead. His face heating up over the realization as he watches Dream awkwardly says 'sorry' as he speed walks away, heading towards his bedroom and a door being slammed echoes the living space.
Did he just kiss me?

Summary
Sapnap had woken up that morning with the belief that he was stuck with his life, and that nothing would change. Not any time soon, at least. He’d always told himself that anything different was unrealistic.
To learn that their illusions could be possible felt groundbreaking; like they had a chance to get out, to be happy. Slowly, he began to accept the possibility; the idea that something different could be realistic. It felt scary. But also, exciting.

“Well,” she says. “Your skin is a little heated, but you don’t have a fever. That’s good, at least.” She pauses, tilting her head at him a little. Sapnap feels a little uncomfortable the way her hazel eyes scan over him. “Is there…anything wrong?” She asks.
“Uh,” he starts, glancing beside him, where Dream nods encouragingly. “My face keeps, like, getting hot. And my chest aches a little. And sometimes my heart starts beating faster, like boom boom boom,” he says, making a heartbeat motion with his fists.
His mom laughs a little, trying to cover it up behind the palm of her hand. “Oh, no, Sapnap. Sweetheart. You’re not sick.”
“I’m not?”
“No, honey.”

Dream just really needed some peace and quiet to connect back to his roots without well-meaning, excited fans coming up to him and interrupting his very needed break.
See, Dream is a country musician, and he had just finished a world tour… but his record company was already badgering him for new music. And he had nothing. His creative juices had run dry. Seriously, the last time he picked up his guitar to write, he ended up playing 'Butterfly Fly Away' from the Hannah Montana Movie by accident. It may or may not have been what inspired him to try and reconnect with his roots (but he sure as hell wasn't going to tell the cowboys that).

Dream is a country singer who's lost himself and can't find inspiration anymore. Sapnap runs a dude ranch that's the perfect place for him to find it. If they just so happen to fall in love along the way, well... that's just a bonus.Series
