Part 1 of 2 in a short series (hopefully to be continued) that follows directly after canon in a really intriguing and cool way. Includes additional worldbuilding (I love that we learn that in this world apparently rhinoceroses are mythical beasts), multiple great character moments, and shifting relationships. Would gladly read lots more of this.

Owning a fridge - or not owning a fridge, it seems - is acceptable, logical vampire behaviour. It does not impact on her own capacity to refrigerate. Being able to sense the thermometer rising or falling each time she opens said fridge is not acceptable behaviour.

Most people can't write Con dialogue, let alone Con POV. Absolute madness. This author gets it. I'm furious all over again about how attracted I am to this stupid vampire.
