Summary

Summary
A chance encounter in the woods sees Temiquiliztli (Dream) claimed by the god Quetzalcoatl (Hob) as one of his true priests. Unfortunately, when the god insists they travel to the heart of the Aztec empire— the great city, Tenochtitlan — for him to observe his creations more closely and experience life as one of them, they could not have anticipated the dark plot festering at the heart of the city and which would ensnare them. Not everyone at the temple of Quetzalcoatl is who they seem and when Hob’s true nature is uncovered, not only are the god and his priest in danger, the whole world might be as well.

After their fight in 1889 Hob falls in with a bad crowd thanks to a boy that reminds him of Robyn. He tries to stop his descent into crime not wanting to be reduced to being nothing more than a murderer again. But eh fails. Compared to all the live he ends helping to guard a basement is tame. If only Corinthian, the right hand man of his employer, would stop flirting with him despite being turned down multiple times already.

Summary
After an incident during a court meeting where Prince Morpheus shouted at one of his court members simply for touching him, his advisors, Matthew and Lucienne, have a bit of an unorthodox suggestion to help him relax. How on earth Lucienne got the number of an escort, Morpheus isn't even sure he wants to know.
So, ignoring that, Prince Morpheus gives Hob Gadling a call, and makes a date with him.
Hob is drawn in by the mystery of that phone call, having not been given a name by the caller. By the time he realises this might be a bad idea, it's too late to back out. Thankfully, it's not his past he finds waiting for him.
However, finding out you've been hired by the Crown Prince isn't exactly relaxing either…
