Summary
If they had been prepared, had not had it all sprung upon them – then, just maybe, their hope would be greater. They still had it though, hope that they could make it, that they would reach their sanctuary. That they would be free of those nipping at their heels, free of the constant suffocating fear and constant vigilance.
They could, and would make it. No matter what.
And perhaps, if Emma repeated it enough, she too would believe it.
