Summary
Lucille has no recorded date of conception.
After being rescued at age eight from a cult infamously known as The Mothers, Lucille was taken in by Detective Adam Moore, who raised her alongside his wife, Katherine. The Mothers was a cult with twenty members – female members only – who claimed to be witches tasked with ensuring that The Keeper’s body was kept clean and a symbol of all that was sacred. However, regardless of having spent eight years of her life in the isolated, grim forest of Rookridge, Lucille had been easy to raise. Detective Adam Moore could attest to Lucille’s composure. Lucille’s kindness.
Lucille is twenty now. She is still composed. She is still kind. But the other thing inside her is angry, an absolute violation of her nature. That other thing inside her is unkind. That other thing inside her is not easy to stomach or swallow down – especially at night.
