The Original Percival Graves was the lord of his gang. He saved a street teen named Credence and started looking out for him, including occasional nice feeds. Credence always got bullied and after Percival interfered, the violence finally stopped.
During a warfare with Grindelwald’s gang, Percival was sentenced to prison for three years. After he got out, he found that Credence had become a rising model/actor. Percival was concerned that any relation to the mafia would jeopardize Credence's career, but the young man couldn't care less. He's happy beyond words. The separation bonded the two even more as they realized that they’ve been falling love with each other for a long long time.The golden days didn't last long, Grindelwald resurfaced and things started to get out of control.

Writer Percival Graves, after some tragic encounters and very broke, ended up moving next door to Credence.
As they soon became friends, Credence quickly developed romantic attachment towards Percival, and was doing his best to draw Percival’s attention. Unlike the young man who’d burn for love without hesitation, Percival’s worried about the age difference and the fact that he may not be able to make Credence happy. He tried to play dumb but honestly could not pull away. Unable to face his own affection, Percival started to seek help in alcohol.
After Credence’s heartfelt confession during a party, Percival got so drunk to the point of passing out. Credence took care of him, but was driven all bitter about Percival’s memory loss.
The stumbling relationship tortured them both, but Credence didn’t give up.
Time flew by, and finally Percival realized that there’s really no point of running away from love anymore.Series

Percival Graves is a fisherman. Credence is a magic merman, his fish tail will automatically turn into human legs when he leaves water.
Mermen don't leave water, but Credence likes fisherman Percival. So everyday he hides in water, watching Percival from a distance. And then one day he accidentally injures himself and falls into Percival's net. Percival takes care of him, giving him food and shelter.
Credence is very overwhelmed and he runs back to water when Percival is out fishing. Percival thinks he saves a drowning young man, but only realizes that the "young man" is actually a merman when Credence shows up again, this time in water. Percival is amazed. They inevitably fall in love. Percival accepts who Credence is and adores him.
The rumor that Percival has a "water baby" spreads. Grindelwald shows up. He wants this magical creature to himself. In front of the locals, he orders to put Credence in water and immediately the leg turns into fish tail. Percival runs back to the scene, but could not stop them from taking Credence away. Grindelwald experiments on the merman. He takes Credence's voice away and then discards him.
Percival chases them, trying to get Credence back.Series
