Summary
"Dean loved his brother, he really did. If he could choose between his life and Sammy's, there would be no contest. He'd sold his soul for the guy, and tried to die for him more than once, even though it never seemed to stick.
But sometimes how easy things were for his brother just made Dean hate him."
Takes place at the beginning of season 8, minimal spoilers through that time. Deal's with Dean's feelings of inadequacy compared to how highly he thinks of Sam. And a little gratuitous h/c because really, the boys need some.

Summary
"Girl's underwear, Sam, I fucking wear girl's underwear. Happy now?" Dean snarled. He still kept his eyes on the road, features carefully schooled into a mask of indifference.
Continuation to "Just Fine:" Dean and Sam finally discuss the events of that night, and some interesting revelations are made. Not exactly necessary to read that first, but it will improve the experience and it isn't very long. (Not wincest)
This takes place at the start of season 8, but only contains mild spoilers through the middle of season 4. (Specifically, spoilers for one line said in one scene of the episode with no impact on the actual plot.)

Summary
Long story short, Sam takes Dean out shopping for some panties. (NOT wincest. Not even a little bit.)
No spoilers at all except for the existence of Sam and Dean Winchester. This is the third in a series of short fics exploring Dean Winchester's gender identity, starting with "Just Fine" and "Pronouns." It's not necessary to read those first, but it would probably improve the experience and they aren't long.

Summary
"He felt right. He felt… and oh, it sounded cheesy to say, but he felt beautiful. For the first time in a long time, he really felt beautiful."
Is true beauty something that others see in you, or that you see in yourself? Dean tries on the panties he bought in "No Different" and thinks about his body. Probably a good idea to read that one first, even if you skip the others in the series (although at least one minor thing won't make sense if you skip "Pronouns"). No spoilers for the show.

Summary
Dean gets drunk and decides to talk to Cas about his struggles with his gender.
"'Uh, hi, Cas…' Dean trailed off, throat suddenly dry. What was he thinking? He couldn't tell Cas, not when he'd just gotten back, not with his reappearance still unexplained, not after that whole debacle where Cas had failed to be a hunter."
While this could be interpreted as Destiel, it could just as easily be interpreted as just close friendship. View it as you will. I prefer to view it as an expression of their profound bond, not of their profound boning.
(I am a Destiel fangirl, though, so I won't hold it against you if you choose to see it like that.)
Not exactly necessary to read the others in the series, but it will help with comprehension.

Summary
"John Winchester did not raise his boys to be girls. He raised them to be men. So when he walked into the motel room three days early and saw his fifteen year old all dolled up in makeup like– like a fucking fag, he had to admit he kind of lost his shit."
Trigger warning for homophobic language and child abuse (non-graphic).
It takes a village to raise a child, and this is the story of Dean Winchester's village.

Summary
"'You know, we could get you some makeup if you wanted,' Sam said conversationally over his shoulder."
Not what you think. (Also NOT wincest.)
No spoilers, mild trigger warning for mentions of past child abuse (non-graphic). Not necessary to read the others in the series, but it would improve the experience. (Though you should definitely at least read the first chapter of Raising Men for background.)
