Summary
“Frightened I’ll trounce you again, little wolf?” he asked with all the hubris of a man who had rarely known defeat. He’d managed to bait the Howling Blade into playing into his hands once before - surely he could do it again.
His taunt earned him an eyeroll, though it halted the hhetsarro in his tracks. “Hardly,” Retsarra replied, lips twisting in reluctant amusement. His eyes darted down to the blades, assessing. “Do you even know how to wield those toothpicks, mage?”

“I don't sound like that,” Retsarra argued halfheartedly.
“Are you sure?” The miqo’te's odd eyes danced with mirth as he regarded him. “I do like toying with my prey,” he growled, dancing his fingers up Retsarra's abs.

Summary
A shadow fell across his line of sight, and he sighed in relief. “Dancing Green?” asked a familiar voice. Flicking his eyes up and up and up, he realized it was that lunatic from the Arcadion, Wicked White. He looked different out of the ring. Instead of his glitzy white costume, he wore a hoodie and joggers with two drinks in either hand.
“Fancy seein' you here, baby,” he greeted with a smile that was more grimace than charm. “Would you be a doll and stand a little to the left?”

Summary
E'andhris was late.
Tapping the display on his tomephone again, Retsarra clicked his tongue irritably as he watched another minute tick by. It was already ten past the time they'd agreed to meet. Had he decided to stand him up? The thought settled around his chest harder than it should have.

Summary
A shrill whistle interrupted them before Estinien could reply. He quickly straightened, kicking the meat from the end of his lance. “Ready yourself,” he ordered, eyes trained on E’andhris, who gestured frantically at them from across the distance. He pointed to his head, then flashed three fingers before waving his hand like a serpent through grass.
“A three-headed snake?” Retsarra guessed with a frown. He turned as he unsheathed his blade, driving it down into the hunk of meat smoldering amidst the fire. “Bait,” was all he supplied when Estinien glanced askance at him.
A great rumbling shook the cliffs, growing louder until two large hands hauled an even larger body up over the side. Atticus the Progenitor’s three heads hissed in unison as six eyes focused on them. “‘Tis a good thing you came along after all. There’s one head for each of us,” Estinien said as he lowered into a battle stance.

"Now, dear Retsarra, I can already hear your question. Why would we possibly take a dragonslayer with us to parley with a dragon? Well, would you believe me if I said that Hraesvelgr was more offended by Lady Iceheart?"

Summary
"It's early, 'Tsarra," he complained, stubbornly keeping his eyes shut. Retsarra's weight atop him kept him from rolling to burrow deeper into their shared bedroll, but he tried anyway.
"That's the point," Retsarra replied, shaking him by the shoulders. E'andhris frowned at his impatience. "Look, I've already taken care of feeding Plum her breakfast, sorting out her tack, and I've packed up camp. We can set out as soon as you're up and dressed."

Summary
Together, they fell into a rhythm. Retsarra herded the beasts together as E’andhris cut through them with his magick in quick, decisive strikes as surely as he did with his blade.
“A maiden approaches,” E’andhris called as the herd’s numbers dwindled. He darted after the crystalline figure before Retsarra could react.

Summary
“Ah, ‘bout that,” Asbestos hummed. Eutrope heard the clattering of something metallic over the line and a muffled curse. “I've had to move shop a couple of times since we last hung out. You know how Blue is. He blew out a wall he shouldn't've in my last two. ‘Course, Red helped.”
