Summary
Carlos had hushed their stammering with a kiss. There was, he said, so much love in Cecil—so much everything, really, but love was the relevant part here. They were overflowing with enthusiasm and affection, he said, and it would be selfish of him to try to keep it all to himself.
And of course it wasn’t accurate—he was far from selfish, and anyway no amount of love and devotion was good enough for their wonderful Carlos. But Cecil said nothing more. Because Carlos did have an important and scientifically accurate point.
Which was: there was an awful lot in Cecil.

Summary
A bit of non-sexual fluff from before Carlos returns to Night Vale. Carlos is not good at consistent contact and Cecil is not good at coping. At least Earl is good at soothing.

Summary
The whole point of Earl was supposed to be that he was safe, that he would respect Cecil every way. Calling them ‘boy’—good boy even, when they’re presumably floating and vulnerable, maybe even nonverbal like Carlos gets, when they maybe can’t and definitely wouldn’t fight back against it—how could he? How dare he?

Summary
Carlos shakes his head; the concept is there, in his mind, but if he knows the words he can't find them right now. "There's so many things I've been running from all my life just to prove that I'm a man, and you just—I—I don't have to run anymore, Cecil."

Summary
Cecil was so busy with their own distress, the last of their willfulness melting under the old familiar comfort of Earl’s care, that they didn’t see how they were drifting together. How naturally Earl lead them both, how easily Carlos followed him. How many years did it take for Cecil and Earl to settle into this routine, into the ebb and flow of their relationship—how many years for them to just be stable, be healthy for fuck’s sake. And Carlos slipped into Earl’s orbit effortlessly, instinctively, like—like—
Like they were made for each other.
