Literally the only thing stopping him from getting rid of her here and now is:
- He feels no malice or harmful intentions from her
- The potent energy within her that appears to be shackled by some withering seal is downright terrifying, despite being forced to remain dormant could still feel stronger than all 7 gnosis combined.
- The fact celestia themselves sent over an observer rather than an executioner means something must be up with her.
It's easy to come to the conclusion that, if she were to pose a threat to Monstadt, Barbatos might actually need to pull some favors from his fellow archons.

The tall man takes a seat next to her. "Likewise, Nilou, I see you're doing well. Please, I will be resigning as acting grand sage once this festival is over." Al-Haitham adds, not at all concealing his irritation with the situation, that the whole process is dragging on far too long for his liking.
Kareena blinks owlishly at the easy interaction between the two. "You know each other?" She tries not to sound too put off by it. Now this is a turn of events she didn't think existed—a big shot in the Akademiya and a popular dancer of the Grand Bazaar—how on Teyvat did these two even cross paths? Let alone know each other well enough to have good camaraderie already.
