Summary
Love flowed from him, strong like a tether that drove into her and refused to release her. She couldn't shake the idea that she knew him. That the way their chests rose and fell in time was no coincidence. A warrior's bond, as deep as if they'd been bloodied in battle side by side. He understood her in a way no one else possibly could, and she him. Even if she did not know his story, she knew this. They locked eyes. He felt it, too.
Kit Hareington and the mysterious warrior have an acquaintance in common. Is it enough to find common ground?

Summary
"That his mind had not been the same since the Summoning remained a poorly kept secret despite his best efforts. That it had fractured violently under the Sundering more so. Though he worked to hide the ways it hindered or unsettled him, he was no fool to assume his closest brethren had not noticed the cracks in twelve-thousand years. Yet he fought on, had worked toward their goals, had guided the course of civilization where it needed his touch. He expected that occasionally there would be places where he himself would need a nudge to recall that which was locked away and obscured by the wails of the souls whom even now he felt keenly. What he had not expected, however, was her. How he’d been thrown to discover her in those recesses between things he knew with certainty, and how, apparently, her existence there was no longer private information."
Elidibus and the Warrior of Light have been entangled by Fate, and they have only just begun to discover why.

Summary
"There are no more excuses. You will fight me, and this battle shall be our last."
She shook, the breeze through the open ceiling chilling her now that she was denied his warmth. Her hair tossed in it, her ears swaying. Her tail twitched as tension took over her spine. "Elidibus," she tried once more.
He lifted his sword, his shield, and the aether shifted around them, encasing them. "I am salvation given form... Mankind's first hero...and his final hope!" A blast of light struck her, staggering her, and she was forced to accept this was happening, no matter what she wished.
The Warrior of Darkness and Elidibus always knew they were on a Doomsday Clock. The time has come to face one another for the fate of their worlds. This fight shall be their last. But are they ready to let go of each other?

Summary
If she stopped and thought about it, he knew she would realize that the scant two weeks they'd spent together was insufficient for what she wanted, for what he gave. She would know the wrongness of what had them entangled. She might even learn to accept what she had done in bringing him back to life, or seek to undo it in the name of freeing him.
That could not happen.
A better man might tell the Warrior of Light what she'd done, that he was not exactly as alive as she thought he was. Fray Myste is not exactly a better man.

Summary
"He was not wrong: a darkness lurked in her. She’d known it for some time now, even if she did not fully understand it. One she danced outside of, always looking toward but never reaching for it. Like a fire, offering to lick her clean with its flames. But she was the Warrior of Light. It was her duty to deny that darkness, no matter how seductive she found it. No matter how warm and safe and loving it seemed."
Having ended Elidibus' life, the Warrior of Light takes her grief to Ishgard. Unable to help herself, she tries to save a life which in turn changes hers.

Summary
"She knew what he sought, and that he clearly sought it from her in that moment. What she didn't know was why he was being so odd about it. They were anything but strangers, and it wasn't like she had ever turned down a direct invitation to fall into bed with him."
Sidurgu has a problem, and Kit offers to help a friend in need. She gets more than she bargained for.

Summary
She took several breaths until she trusted her voice again. "The way things have been is not working for me, and hasn't been for some time. It seems I may have murdered the love of my life for nothing, because the world is not safe even with the Unsundered gone. In fact, it seems killing Elidibus has allowed Fandaniel to rise." It hurt. Oh, how it hurt to say, and now to admit that the quest to free Elidibus' soul would be forced to wait. "So, I will stop him, like I've stopped every threat you've turned me against." She turned about, meeting each of their eyes. "You can help me do it my way, or find a new Warrior of Light."
Returned from Ishgard a newly minted Dark Knight, The Warrior of Light is faced with the fateful consequences of Elidibus' death by her hand, and once again burdened with the fate of the star.

Summary
"He met her eyes from behind his mask once more, and Kit had no doubt that his attention was narrowed down to her same as hers to him. If she moved, would he turn toward her? Had the slow rise and fall of his chest fallen in time with her own? Or had it been her whose breath had slowed to match his? She could not say. The world stilled."
The Warrior of Light does not understand why she cannot pull herself away from the enigmatic Emissary, or why she does not want to.

Summary
He extended an arm in invitation. "Come, Eikon-Slayer."
She frowned, but did as he bid her all the same. She could not have stopped herself if she wished to, and she very much did not wish to. As if she had blinked her way to him, she found herself close enough to touch him. Which she did, taking his offered hand. The warmth of it made her shiver, her knees tremble. "Don't call me—"
He touched the clawed finger of one glove to her lips with a shush. "You must be honest about who and what you are. And what you want." He drew the claw downward over her lips, tugging the lower. "What do you want?"
Her eyes fluttered. "I—" She couldn't say it. Poised on her tongue was something dark and shameful. Something that snaked its way into her belly and made her whole self tingle.
"You need not say it. I believe I know," he said.
Elidibus provides an impromptu lesson on the nature of primals and aetherology. The Warrior of Light needs to be honest with herself about the Emissary, and her fascination with his fascination with her.

Summary
He simply stared. Eyes wide. Limbal rings green levin across blackened sky. No words passed, and he gripped her arm and pulled her to him with a sharp yank.
He was warm. Solid. Alive. Outline of muscle and ridges of scale beneath soft fabric that clung to every dip of his shape. He smelled like home. Inviting. The part of him that belonged to her an instinct. Her arms fit around the barrel of his chest, and he smoothed her ears back in the same motion he tucked her head beneath his chin.
"Sid, I—"
He shushed her, and for a span of time that she quickly lost track of, heartbeats a number she itemized in her memory, they simply stood. Held one another. Pretend had begun anew. Inside the door was a fantasy they agreed they could never keep, but needed all the same, and they both knew it.
"Come in."
"If I come in—"
The words had no chance to take flight. He gripped her chin and turned her mouth to meet his, and backed them both through the door.
They agreed to part amicably. With Elidibus' soul gone to aid her, and on the eve of a potentially one-way journey to save the world, the Warrior of Light has one stop to make.
