Summary
Shouta is used to finding ghosts on rooftops. He’s spent most of his life now seeking them out, taking comfort in the echos of ground-level noise or the silence, underneath the sky, bright or dark, starry or too light-polluted to see anything but the mist of the city.
The comfort, he’s found, is harder to find on cloudy days. The ghosts – or ghost, he should say – is always more present, even if only for a second, in the corner of his eye.
It’s why he doesn’t pause at first when he notices a familiar silhouette against the misty sky on the rooftop of the UA staff dorms. Not until, on reflex, his head turns towards it, and it doesn’t vanish. Instead, as the door shuts behind him, the figure turns their head towards him, yellow eyes glowing in the low light.

Summary
The clock at the top of his screen reads 3:04 AM. His screen is still alit with the garbled, typo-ridden messages he could barely read through followed by a simple request: come over, please.
The please alone would have been enough to have Hitoshi nearly running down the flight of stairs separating him from Katsuki’s room, even without the timestamp and the messages before it.
Katsuki has a panic attack. Hitoshi does his best to be there.

Summary
The one thing that does make it easier is that they allow Kurogiri to visit. At least, as long as he ignores the reasons for Kurogiri being free when he’s not – the fact that Kurogiri is, apparently, a Noumu, which shouldn’t be surprising and yet is; the fact that he was made from a UA kid Eraserhead’s age, at the time of his death; the fact that they can’t be sure how many of his actions have been his own, and not just All For One’s will.
If he ignores that, then the visits stop the itching, for at least a little while. He had known he missed Kurogiri. He hadn’t quite realized how much.
or: a conversation between Tomura and Kurogiri, when the storm has calmed but not yet settled.

In the pushing and scratching, somewhere, Shouto manages to grab one of his hands, then the other. He pushes back, harder, twisting Touya’s hands to try and sabotage his hold. Touya bares his teeth fully in a harsh, feral grin, pulling against it.
He doesn’t know what shifts, exactly. He doesn’t know what it even felt like. He knows it felt like something.
